The results are in for the 40th Annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition brought to the community by the Rockford Park District! In all thirteen state teams and ten high school teams participated in this year’s event.
1st Place: Windy City Snowmen - "Our Founding Father"
1st Place: Byron High School - "Guardian of Innocence
Heads up! We’ve introduced a new traffic pattern for the Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition. This change allows our state teams to work on a flat surface and even the playing field. Having everyone in one spot also greatly reduces risk for the artists, especially as many use scaffolding and tall ladders.
